Modern Filipino Nationalism.

I am going to tell you what are the ways to show our nationalism in the modern days. But First of all What is the meaning of nationalism? For me the meaning of nationalism is the individual devotion of a person to his/her country.Me as a student there are little ways to show my nationalism to my country.
Hmm..

Number 1
*By taking care of our surroundings.
This past few weeks we have been experiencing Flood, Heavy Rains, and typhoons. The cause of this floods are because of the Garbage that we do not recycle.

*See this picture at your left, This will be the effect on what we are doing. That's why we should Always take care of our environment.

Number 2
*Showing our respect to the Philippine Flag when we are going to sing it. Many people nowadays does not show any respect to our Philippine flag, But when they sing it with Their whole heart A BIG DEVOTION to our country is being contributed.

I remembered when i was still young, When i was watching a Movie in a Cinema house. The National anthem has been heard, I didn't know what to do, But when i heard my mom whispered to me and told me "Lagay mo ung kanan na kamay mo sa may dito mo (she taught me how) tas kanta ka ng bayang magiliw".
Then i sang.. HAHAHA! When i was young i really tought that the title of our national anthem was Bayang Magiliw but now i know that i was wrong. :))

Number 3
*Hmm.. Showing respect to the elders. Do not raise your voice to them when you are talking. Kiss them goodnight when you are going to sleep.Hug them goodbye when you are going home, and always say Po and Opo.

*If you are wondering my i did not include the Mano because i always kiss my grandparents and not Mano because for me kissing your grandparents will show more love to them by just mano-ing. :**

Number 4
*By promoting our famous Filipino dishes or foods, like the well known chicken adobo, my Mothers specialty in sinigang and my favorite Kare-kare.

*Letting the others know that we Filipinos can do things in  our own special way. Sometimes we have different STYLES on how we eat, on how we pray, even on how we talk. But even though we have different traditions we should always be proud that we are a FILIPINO! :))

Number 5
*Showing your love to others. A Filipino is LOVABLE, A Filipino does not make war, but makes PEACE, A Filipino is always HAPPY.

*I remembered my teacher's Good Day Talk,, When she mentioned that We, Filipinos are always HAPPY, And I knew that we cannot stay still whenever we fight someone who is truly in our hearts, Like our best Friends. Me, when I Fought with my Friends I Cant help but to say sorry even though I know that it is not my fault.

 * We know that our friends are always there for us, In good and in Bad times. Friends Fight. But it Wont last FOREVER. <3
*Peace is the one thing that lets you think about the things that you have done, And letting you know that there is no more calmer than PEACE. <3

Why am I saying these things to you? To let you know that Being a Filipino is not a SIN. Being a filipino is a Blessing. :)) And to let you know that this 5 numbers that i gave you is the Best Way to Show your filipino nationalism in this generation. :))

My Siblings are always the one who makes me think twice on what i am doing. :*

My Parents are the one who always helps me to feel SPECIAL. :*

When you can't do this, Think about your Family, When you don't do this, Many bad things may happen. When sometimes I think twice on what I am doing, I always think of my Family. <3
STOP MADNESS! START SPREADING OUR NATIONALISM!

PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!

  8. I would like to congratulate the author on a finely written article and to express my wish to help in any reasonable way I can, thus living in the United States is not hindrance towards being a Filipino Nationalist. We should never underestimate the ability of the Filipinos to overcome any obstacle. We have demonstrated time and again that Filipinos can bounce back from a tragedy, emerging stronger and better than before. In the middle of a disaster, Filipinos can still manage to smile and be hopeful that the next morning brings new hope. I am resilient. I am proud and I am a Filipino.

Keep it up and BE the change that YOU want to see in our country and in the world.
